Passive Audiences — No Role or Incentive to Engage

In traditional models, audiences only participate at the consumption stage: buying tickets, watching films, and offering reviews. They have no say in what gets produced, cannot invest, and receive no reward for helping spread the word, voting, or promoting a film they love.

This results in a one-way relationship between creators and viewers, lacking the sense of community — despite art being inherently interactive and socially reflective.
